Birth of an American Gigolo by Deek Rhew--Cover Reveal

So, I was going to write a blog post about my hair (LOL!), but something MUCH more important than that is happening (don't worry, the hair post IS coming). Enough about me. Today, I'm here to talk about my AWESOME husband and his AMAZING short story "Birth of an American Gigolo"!!!

What is "Birth" about? Glad you asked. Here is the short blurb...

Birth of An American Gigolo

An old party girl turned domestic diva, infuriated by her husband's cheating--and his holier-than-thou, tree-hugging, no-tits and no-hips girlfriend--inflicts her wrath by training a local boy in the fine art of seduction. She and her new boy toy turned love god, start a gigolo business as a distraction for the neglected and mistreated housewives of Alabaster Cove.

Sounds amazing, right? Well, that's because it is!! I was emailing with the lovely Jess Calla a few days ago, and I was telling her about Deek's awesome writing style. I said he cleverly balances the darkness of his stories with humor, and his style is a unique blend of literary and commercial that I've never seen before. You're in for a treat, my friends. A real treat!

And now let me tell you about my wonderful husband. Prepare yourself because you'll be bowled over by his handsomeness. Try not to stare at his picture for so long that you miss the cover (though it will be hard to tear your gaze from something so good looking)!! ;)

About Deek Rhew 

Deek lives in a rainy pocket in the Pacific Northwest with his stunning YA author bride, Erin Rhew, and their writing assistant, a fat tabby named Trinity. They enjoy lingering in the mornings, and often late into the night, caught up Erin’s fantastic fantasy worlds of noble princes and knights and entwined in Deek’s dark underworld of the FBI and drug lords. OMG! Anita at Race-point is a GENIUS! A genius I tell you. If you're looking for high quality covers from a kind and professional cover artist, look no further than Anita Carroll. Deek and I spent an afternoon going through covers we thought matched the theme of "Birth," and we sent them to Anita. She compiled the images, read the story (how many cover artists READ the story--she does, and I tell you, it sets her apart because she KNOWS the story), and produced this masterpiece. It's everything we said we wanted and more.

As an author, it's so exciting to see the cover for your work come to life. And I think this one captures the essence of "Birth." I can't wait for you to meet Lindsey, Dios, Stewart, Cindie, and Angel. You'll love some of them and hate some of them, but their story will linger in your mind long after you read the last word.

Friends, I am pleased as punch and so proud that my smile might reach my forehead. I fell in love with Deek's writing from the start, and then I fell in the love with the man who wielded those amazing words. Prepare to fall in love yourself...with "Birth of an American Gigolo."
