Big News!!

Are you ready for some super big, really amazing, totally awesome news??

THE RHEWS ARE GETTING MARRIED!!

You're probably thinking, "I already knew that. You've been engaged for a while now." BUT, here's the difference...we're getting married very soon! In November!! Here are the deets...

I (Erin) am from the South. Deek and I always planned to get married in the South, in May of 2015. But the longer we've lived in the Pacific Northwest, the more we want to share our special moment with our friends and family here as well. But we couldn't figure out how to get the South and the Pacific Northwest in one place for our wedding. Do we fly all the people from one side of the country over to the other? Too expensive. Do we have everyone meet in the middle of the country? Too expensive, and we wouldn't know the area. So, we finally decided to bring the wedding to them! We're getting married in the Pacific Northwest in November and in the South in May. That way, everyone we love gets to share in our special day,

You might wonder, which day will be our official anniversary? Well, we'll just have two. Two dedicated days to celebrate our love and commitment each year (though we plan to honor it year-round) sounds pretty darn amazing!

This weekend, we had one of Deek's friends come over to the Victorian and take pictures of us in our wedding outfits. We had a total blast, and we KNOW the photographer got some amazing shots. But while he did his thing--setting up lighting and positioning us--Deek and I took the opportunity to take pics ourselves. Here are a few:

I so love my dress!!

Deek caught me dancing--LOL!

St. Trinity had fun playing in the folds of my dress!

Last night, the photographer sent over a "sneak peek" picture to give us an idea of what we could expect. We could not be more in love with what we saw! Here's a sample for you (doesn't Deek look very debonair?)...

To celebrate our impending nuptials, I plan to post a song that means something to us each day this week.

To kick off the song-a-day fun, I'll start with this one. Deek and I recently went to the fair and heard the singer Ben Rue (another Rhew/Rue--we are a talented bunch--haha). He sang this song, and it instantly became one of our favorites!! Enjoy!

I want my marriage to be as devoted and happy as you are. It's something I'm working on.....even if it's long distance.
